GreenTech Scaling Initiative
“GreenTech Scaling Initiative” – Clean Energy Impact Study & Proposal Development

Sector: Clean Energy & Sustainability

Clients: Solar NGOs, GreenTech startups

Description: Troycity Africa is conducting a detailed feasibility & impact evaluation for scaling rooftop solar deployment in peri-urban communities. The project includes baseline environmental assessments, financial modeling, stakeholder mapping, and proposal writing aimed at attracting donor funding.

Status: Underway (Month 3 of 6)

Deliverables to date: Baseline survey completed (500 households), risk assessment module developed, draft proposal submitted.

Expected Outcomes: Secure USD 250,000 in grant funding; improved energy access for 2,000 households; documented impact metrics for climate & gender inclusivity.

Digital Market Entry for SMEs
“Digital Market Entry for SMEs – East Africa”

Sector: Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), E-commerce & Market Access

Clients: Group of SMEs in Kenya & Uganda seeking export markets

Description: This project involves market research (consumer behavior, competitor analysis, regulatory hurdles), development of customised market entry strategies, branding & website advisory, and mentoring of SMEs. Troycity Africa is helping these firms navigate cross-border trade and online platform integration.

Status: In progress (Month 2 of 5)

Deliverables to date: Market gap analysis report; competitor benchmarking; initial branding guidelines drafted; stakeholder engagements held in Kampala and Nairobi.

Expected Outcomes: At least 3 SMEs successfully launching in new export markets; increase average revenue by 30%; improved online presence UX & brand identity.

Urban Health Advocacy Campaign
“Urban Health Advocacy Campaign”

Sector: Public Health / NGOs

Clients: Health-focused non-profit organisations, City Governments

Description: Troycity Africa is developing and implementing an advocacy & communications strategy to promote access to clean water and sanitation in informal settlements. Work includes street theatre performances, e-paper adverts, community train-the-trainer sessions, and monitoring & evaluation framework for behavior change.

Status: Ongoing (Month 4 of 8)

Deliverables to date: Street theatre shows held in three settlements; e-paper campaign started; M&E baseline data collected; training of 20 community health volunteers.

Expected Outcomes: 25% increase in hygiene practices; reduction in waterborne illness cases; stronger public-private partnerships to sustain facilities.

Justice for Ride-Hailing
Justice for Ride-Hailing – Digital Transport Fairness Initiative

Sector: Digital Transport / Labor Rights / Policy & Legal Reform / Economic Empowerment

Clients: Ride-hailing associations, government agencies, labor groups, digital platform operators

Description: Troycity Africa is implementing the Justice for Ride-Hailing program to promote fairness, safety, and legal protection for digital transport workers across Africa. The initiative addresses key issues including unfair commission structures, lack of driver legal protection, data transparency, and limited access to economic empowerment tools. Activities include policy advocacy, stakeholder consultations, digital skills training, legal aid support, and the development of a Safety & Data Protection Charter.

Status: Active (Month 3 of 6)

Deliverables to Date:

  • Stakeholder roundtables with ride-hailing companies, NTSA, and driver unions
  • Draft policy framework on fair digital labor practices
  • Legal aid and compliance clinics held in Nairobi and Mombasa
  • Economic empowerment and digital literacy training launched for 300 drivers
  • Research brief on income disparities and employment classification published

Expected Outcomes:

  • Establishment of fair and transparent pay and commission structures
  • Enhanced legal protection and social security coverage for ride-hailing drivers
  • Adoption of a standardized data safety and accountability framework
  • Greater driver empowerment through financial literacy and cooperative models
  • Policy recommendations integrated into national digital transport regulations

Agritech Startup Capacity Building
“Agritech Startup Capacity Building & Impact Evaluation”

Sector: Agriculture & Technology

Clients: Agritech startup accelerator program

Description: Supporting agritech startups to refine business plans, financial projections, investor pitches; plus establishing impact measurement systems across environmental, social, and economic metrics. Workshops, one-on-one mentorship, proposal writing.

Status: Mid-project (Month 5 of 7)

Deliverables to date: 4 agritech startups have completed pitch decks; financial models built; workshop sessions held on supply chain, sustainability; M&E tools in pilot stage.

Expected Outcomes: At least two startups securing early-stage funding; documented metrics of farmer incomes increased; stronger readiness for scaling.

Clean Transport Advisory
“Policy & Regulatory Advisory – Clean Transport”

Sector: Policy / Regulation / Clean Transport / Climate Risk

Clients: Government agency, NGOs, private transport firms

Description: Troycity Africa is conducting a study into regulation & incentive frameworks for clean/low-emission transport modes (electric vehicles, e-mobility). This includes policy gap analysis, stakeholder consultation, recommendations for regulatory reform, and producing whitepapers.

Status: Active (Month 2 of 5)

Deliverables to date: Regulatory mapping document; stakeholder forums held; draft recommendations for tax incentives / subsidies; cost-benefit analysis of EV adoption.

Expected Outcomes: Influence policy adjustments (tax, regulation) that enable clean transport; increased adoption of e-vehicles; strengthened framework for monitoring emissions.
